Cooked ingredients company TMI Foods has launched a range of cooked crispy bacon pieces in sachets, providing convenience for both food manufacturers and consumers.
The Midlands-based company has installed dedicated machinery, giving it portion control capability to pack a range of cooked bacon products from tiny 10g sachets containing small pieces and lardons to larger packs of 750g containing crispy bacon pieces.
The bacon remains crispy until sachets are opened, making it a favourite topping for salad manufacturers.
“This investment gives us the ability to fulfil customers’ cooked bacon requirements, large or small,” said TMI Foods’ Managing Director David Abbott. “Many manufacturers of salads are not always approved to process meat, and therefore buying pre-packed sachets provides convenience for both manufacturer and consumer.”
