Our passion for providing exceptional ingredients is evident in the range of cooked bacon we produce every day at our dedicated bacon plant in Northampton, UK.
Established in
1980
We began cooking bacon in 1993, as the demand for cooked bacon began to grow, in response to changing consumer behaviour and the growth in convenience foods. we quickly developed our partnerships across retail, food manufacturing and foodservice.

Commitment to Quality
We then established our reputation for leadership and innovation when we added our own in-house curing process.
This provided more control and assurance to the end-to-end process for our customers, meeting their need for a high quality, safe, secure, and local supply partner.
The Merger
Introducing Dawn Farms
In 2006, we joined forces with Dawn Farm Foods, who occupy a similar market position as a dedicated B2B supplier of high quality, safe, secure RTE products into the sandwich, pizza, snacking and Ready Meals categories. This investment led to the development of our state-of-the-art, purpose-built cooking facility here in Northampton, the best and biggest of its kind in the UK.

At the core of our ethos lies a deep commitment to leadership and innovation. Our journey began by pioneering the introduction of smoked bacon, and more recently, we launched our nitrite-free bacon.
Notably, our coffee-flavoured bacon has won accolades, solidifying our dedication to pushing culinary boundaries.

Sustainability at TMI Foods
Furthermore, we are proud to be the first and only cooked bacon company that has embraced the Science Based Targets initiative (STi), aligning our efforts to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions in accordance with the ambitious 1.5°C trajectory established at the ground-breaking Climate Conference in Paris in 2018.
New Products
We have expanded our range to include the best of British Pigs in Blankets, Sausage and Cooked and Charred Vegetables. In line with our consumer and sustainability focus, we have developed what we believe to be best in class, plant Bakun, plant sausage, and plant Pigs in Blankets.
